URBAN DECAY NAKED PALLETTE - Do you need it? (dupe alert)

I got sucked up into the hype, again, and I should have just passed.  I walked into Ulta and there was one left, and I thought I'll get it.  I am a neutral girl, so all these colors in one palette seamed like a good buy.

The colors are beautiful, but guess what?  They are the same colors that are in all the other palettes that I have by Urban Decay.  I know it comes in one palette, but I have other cheaper palettes that are actually different neutrals and without the glitter fall out on my face.  

This coastal Scents 28 Neutral palette has most if not more shades at half the price.  I know the quality is not exactly the same, but these colors are just as beautiful.  Not to mention the fact that there is a whole lot less glitter in these colors. 

Another great dupe is the E.L.F. palettes.  For $5 you get great colors and pigmentation in one case.

In the end, I should have walked on by because there are too many other cheaper palettes that are similar. Plus the fact I feel like I keep buying the same product from Urban Decay over and over.

E.L.F. BEAUTY BOOK- BRIGHT EYES / DUPE UD ALICE OF WONDERLAND PALETTE

I Love these e.l.f. beauty books. All these beautiful colors and shadows for $5.   I bought one during Christmas at Target and I use it almost everyday.  That and my Mac palette are all the colors I need.  This is the Bright Eyes edition.  They have a smokey one also.  I picked this one.  Smokey eyes had a lot of the same colors as my first Encyclopedia Eyes Book, there is a review here if you want to see the colors.

These are limited edition, so if your interested, go and get one soon.  The shadows are pigmented and smooth.  They're glimmery, but not sparkly.  The palette itself is light weight and perfect for travel.

THE BEST PART

These colors are exact dupes for the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette, that was sold out and limited edition also.  The e.l.f. eye shadows are more powdery, but still just as pigmented

The top row is the e.l.f. and the bottom is the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette.  Look how close they are in color.  Exciting!! 

Now I'm in the search of the other palettes.

Wet n Wild Icon Eyeshadow Palettes

Cost: $4.99

Why did I wait so long to get these?  They are the most pigmented, beautiful colors.  I took only these 3 with me on a trip, because you know I like the challenge, or game.  They were amazing, and I would like to add that there are so many Mac dupes here.  You really only need just 1 of these to take with you on a trip and get a lot of looks out of it.

The only thing that could be a little better is the staying power on the lighter shades.  i just pack them on a little more.

Wet n Wild Matte Lipsticks

Cost: $3-4

These are great too.  They are thick, smooth, and very opaque.  They don't make your lips look cracked or dry, but may be a bit drying, like all matte lipsticks.  I just wish they had more of a color range.

I love the 902, and use it almost every day.  It is a matte version of my Mac Blankety(love).  The 903 is a bright Baby Doll pink.

Overall the products are amazing for the price.  Wet n Wild has really upped their products and colors.

I've been waiting for a Wet n Wild BOGO because I have become obsessed with the idea that the new 6 Wet n Wild icon palettes are dupes for the Mac Colour Forecast Quads!

NYX PEARL MANIA HAUL+swatches & Mac dupes

Cherryculture.com had these NYX pearl mania for $1.99(still on sale) & I wanted to try them. They are soft & very pigmented. I think I can just wear these alone on the eye w/some liner & it would look great. NYX products are really nice & affordable.

I really can't wait to try these. They don't have chunky glitter & are finely milled. The one thing I hate is how messy they are. They just go everywhere, so I may transfer them.

MAC BABY GOTH GIRL DUPE -SINFULCOLORS($2 Walgreens)

I read so many reviews that Mac Baby Goth Girl was OK or they returned it so I passed on it. Then I was at Walgreens & I found this color & it looks so close. I love the color. It's perfect for the fall/winter. It isn't dark & it looks like Baby Goth Girl. There's glitter in it, but it's not the kind you can never take off!

Sinfulcolors - Rich in Heart- $2

I think with all polishes you need a top coat for it to stay on longer, even the OPI. It's a great color for a great price.

HARD CANDY @ WALMART (Mac Dupe Alert & swatches)

I've been watching a lot of drugstore hauls & fave on YT, & found out they are selling Hard Candy at Walmart. They are $6-10 $ have the cutest (or tackiest) packaging. I think I was slow on this because a lot of things were sold out-gone!

I bought a lipstick in Fire Alarm & Shadow Stick in whimsy. I wanted to try more, but I thought i would start w/these 2.

Top- Whimsy is a shadow stick or base. I am going to also use it as a cream blush-Pretty!

Bottom- Fire Alarm lippi- it's like a lipstick & gloss in one- no need for a gloss
I wanted too show how whimsey looks as base. It actually brings out the sparkle in the Mac shadows.

The colors look so vibrant. I think I will still use a paint pot first because the whimsey is very creamy & it may crease.

Fire Alarm is the same color as Mac Hue lipstick.

I was so excited for the Fire Alarm because I needed a new Hue. I love the colors of both. I have to try the shadow stick to see if it will crease. I hope not because They had other pretty colors. I wanted to try the baked shadows, but they only had a few left, & not in my colors. I read great reviews on the mascara too. They had them in every color.

MY NEW FAVORITE BLUSH + MAC DUPE

My favorite new blush is Sally Hansen inspired by Carmindy in Dusk brunette. I picked it up at CVS for $9 because it reminded me of my favorite all time blush in X-Rocks by Mac. It's so pretty & pigmented. It stays on all day!

This is Dusk Brunette next to Flirt & Tease & X-Rocks at the end. They are all similar, but the Sally Hansen is more color & less sparkles & glitter.
These are the 3 together. The Dusk Brunette is the same color as the MAC Flirt & Tease & sisters with the X-Rocks. Which makes very happy because it's 1/2 the price & X-Rocks is limited edition.
I going to have to try some more of these blushes. The staying power & pigmentation have me sold, plus it's usually BOGO at Ulta.

What other products are worth trying from this line? Any blush recommendations?

TOP 10 DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS

I love this tag. It's been all over YT these past 2 weeks & I love watching them. Here are my top 10 that I use all the time.

This is my new self tanner. It's an Aveeno dial up self tanner. I put it on & I wake up with beautiful tanned even color. This is also a 24 hour moisturizing cream & leaves my skin soft.

Next are my Essence of Beauty brushes & my Eco tools brush, which is my newest drugstore find. These work GREAT! They're soft & put color on evenly. I don't recommend the travel Essence of beauty brushes. They break & the quality is cheap.

Revlon matte lippies. I always go back to these. They are in Nude Attitude & Pink Pout. I use them alone or together. They're pigmented & last.
I know I have talked about this a ton, but I LOVE IT! Felt tip liner in black. At walgreens $1.99. My HG was the Revlon 12hr. Colorstay, but this is better.

This color is beautiful. It's 12hr. Colorstay in Sable. It's super soft, like starflash, & pigmented. It's a great dupe for Mac Glamour Check(which is bottom swatch)

I still use the HIP gel liners. I have been using the eggplant not only for a liner, but as a base. These colors stay put. When they get dry I add a little of my eye drops to it.
I have to do a whole post on these. Maybelline single shadows. These are the best drugstore eye shadows. They are so rich & smooth. That swatch is only one swipe. I love the quads also. They are just as good. Can you tell I use them.

This is my HG foundation. Revlon Colorstay. It's long lasting, & doesn't transfer. It's my fave for over 10 yrs.
The Maybelline mineral blushes, I think have the most staying power. I put it on & it's on ALL day. I love this color Classic Mauve ll. I think it lasts longer than the Mac. Finally my Milani fool proof, always looks pretty in Sweet Rose, Mai Tai is also just as nice.

MAC STYLE WARRIORS LUSTRE DROPS-DUPE

I have found a product that is a dupe for Style Warriors Lustre Drops in Pink Rebel, actually all 3 colors can be duped.  It is the Rimmel 8hr. Mousse Blush.  I bought it & I love this product on its own besides it being a dupe.

It's really soft & liquidy so you can mix it in with your foundation. They have all color ranges. You could match up the bronze colors also for the bronzey foundation or to darken a foundation.
This color on its own is super pretty. It has gold flecks that reflect the light. I use it alone or on top of another blush. I use a Mac 187 brush.  This is a great highlight too.
I'm really excited about this blush. I love the color & how light it feels. Plus it's a dupe for a Mac LE product!!!!

MAC VIVA GLAM V VS RIMMEL AIRY FAIRY 070

Hello lovely mamma's & papas, of course! 

So I have been busy planning, organizing, & packing for a trip next week.  I'm so excited because we are heading to New York!!  Yay!!  When I go on trips I don't really like taking my favorite makeup & brushes or jewelry.  Sometimes things go missing between home & the plane & hotel. But I have my certain faves that I love & have been trying to dupe the last couple days with something that's less $$.  That's why I've been posting dupes yesterday & today.

Now this is one of my faves, Viva Glam V.

The color looks the same on the top & bottom right? Well it's not. The bottom is Viva Glam V & the top is Rimmel Airy Fairy.

Here they are with flash.  They look exactly the same. Airy Fairy doesn't dry out my lips & is a little more matte, but stays longer.  Don't get me wrong, I love my Mac &  All Viva Glam proceeds go to AIDs research.  With the BOGO's always going on, if Airy Fairy goes missing I'm out a couple $$, rather than $14. 

Can you give me any of your packing tips & tricks? I hate over doing it, & would love some ideas!! Any places to go see in NYC would be so appreciated!

MAC CREME D' NUDE vs REVLON NUDE ATTITUDE

Happy Monday to everyone! No I'm not that chipper, but I'm working on it.  So I have a great find for you.  These 2 lippies are the same color, but the Revlon is 1/2 the price. I bought it BOGO at CVS.  I actually love both of these. Mac Creme D' Nude is one of my faves & so are the cremesheens in general. Revlon is such a great drugstore brand.  I love there whole matte line.

 I can't choose a better one. These 2 are the same color on the lip. In the top pic, Mac looks a little pink, but the swatch color are the same. The revlon is a little more matte, & stays a bit longer. I tried to swatch it on my hand, but it was too nude.   For the price I would buy the Revlon again & again.
