DOVE- CONDITIONER-REVIEW

Ladies & Gents, this is my new found cheap love.
I've been reading good reviews about this & then I saw beautybargainhunter on YT review this.  Before she even reviewed it I was thinking her hair looks so good lately. But what sold me is the"ROUGH" part of the description. Ever since I cut & colored my hair last it feels rough. This is so moisturizing, my hair feels like silk. It smells so good & it's $5 @walmart for 32oz.
It feels soft & my hair doesn't look dry.  I have course, thick hair so I can use it everyday & it won't look greasy.
You should try it for the price.
What is your favorite drugstore hair product?

FOREVER 21 - HAUL

Forever 21 has so many cute things.  I always love their spring/summer clothes.  Today it was all about the jewelry.  I think all these go together. I can wear the necklaces separate or together. I love the earrings.  I have long hair, so the bigger the better.  I like to wear summer dresses or even just a T-Shirt & dress it up with jewlrey.
What's your favorite summer style?

MAC CCO HAUL

Split MSF-$18.75 Medium 1/2 shimmer
E/S-$10 Sign n Sealed
Lippie-$10 buoy-buoy

I told you guys before a CCO nearby is good/bad thing.

I love the e/s the most. The matte is so soft, blendable,  & pigmented (that's one swipe) I've been using it as a liner too.
What other matte's are really good(mac or non-mac)? Sometimes the shiny/shimmer is too much.

LAURA MERCIER- TINTED MOISTURIZER

I got this a s a sample from Sephora a while back. Since everyone was on the bandwagon, I had to try it.  Within the first min, I knew it was way too shear.  I put MSF on top, still too shear. After 2-3 hours, I looked at my face & it looked a little orange.  It is now night & i don't have even a little moisturizer on my face anymore.

I'm jumping off the bandwagon. I'm glad I didn't get it during the sale. My Bb cream s till better. I think this is better for dry/normal skin. My skin is too oily.
Should I put it on differently?

MAC- ROSE ROMANCE- RANT

I can't believe it myself, but all I got was this beauty blush. The only reason I bought it is because I collect them from each collection, but honestly, you really can't see the color. The peachy one was even lighter. How many times are they going to re promote Deep Truth? The lavender one was pretty, but I bought Lotusland which is so close. The lighter 2 shades are like all the others too.  The lippies, same pink.  The lip  stains disappear right away.  I didn't bother with the gel blush, I'll just use my tendertones.  The perfume was so strong, I snapped my head back, it smelled like those air freshener sprays in roses.  Wow, I'm so disappointed with these last 2 collections. I think Mac needs to come up with new colors, fast.
I bought the lippie in Myth, which I swear is the same as creme d' nude, I swiped them both.  I wanted Fleshpot, but they said it was discontinued, UMM I saw it at the Pro store Sunday, whatever. The pigments are the best in my opinion.

Oh- on a side note to the MUA- I know beauty powders have a little color,  but I asked you which do you think is more pigmented, pink/peach one?  I was just wondering why Mac made such a beautiful product w/no color. You asked if I needed help, I guess I thought you meant it! I need to go to another Mac counter.
This is just my opinion. The colors are beautiful, but they are the same as all the others.  What are your thoughts on the Mac collections?

RANDOM

I'm really excited because my brother & his family are coming out this week. So if I'm not around so much, you'll know why. Look what I did today.  I stocked up, well maybe just for a couple days.  We all eat a lot, plus his kids are 3 &6 so they're snackers.
I'm planning on doing a BBQ on the day they come in, yummy. My brother, his wife, & I all cook. It will be nice for someone to cook for me. I'm usually always the cook!

Do you shop weekly, daily, monthly? Any good family style meals?

MARSHALL'S BLUSH FIND-GOTTA B URBAN-HAUL

I'm really excited about this blush, the box actually said bronzer, but the color was too pink.  I'm using it as a blush. I love this. It is so smooth & soft, glowy, & beautiful. I want to get another one. They did also have it in a orange/brown shade.  The kabiki comes with it & it's sooo soft. It aslo came in a square gold case(no pic). All this $9.99.

It's got different shades of pink & mauve. Like BBR from Mac.
Swatched on my hand(top).
On my cheek. I think I love it because it's a blush & MSF in one product, with 1 swipe.
Oh, Marshall's has the best beauty products. I saw a whole bunch of salon hair products, clinique, estee lauder, calvin Klein, a bunch. I think because of mamma's day.

Have you heard of this brand? What do you think?

REVLON COLORSTAY - FOUNDATION

COST: $10-13(I wait for BOGO)

This is my HG when it comes to foundation! I've tried them all & I like a lot of them, but if I just like the others why should I spend the extra $$$.

The 3 colors I'm using right now are nude(200). Natural beige(220), & Warm Golden(310).  I use the Warm Golden for summer & I mix it in w/the other 2 if they are too light during summer. Be careful of the beige family because they do have a gray undertone. If you get the wrong color, they are returnable.
This product is buildable & stays on all day. It is a total dupe for the Mac Studio Fix liquid foundation, which I have & like.  It comes in Normal/oily & dry skin formulations.  It really does keep your skin matte if its oily.  You put this on & no need for retouch. No breakouts & no funky smells.  It also looks really pretty w/a dab of moisturizer for the dewy look.  You only need a couple of drops for the whole face. I love this product & have been using it for years.

What's your HG product?

NEW YORK -HAUL- PAUL & JOE,CHINA TOWN,SOHO

So this is my NY haul.  I know it's random stuff, but I could get the Mac & Sephora stuff at home. I forgot to pack perfume.  I got the Harajuku in G. It's perfect for summer because it smells like coconuts.  I got the hats(it was cold out) & gold belt( I see a lot of mettalic's for summer) in China town.  They had so much stuff, but it was so crowded I didn't want to put the kids & hubby through it.  The pic is of Central park with snow, I'm going to put it on my vanity. I also got a Ben Nye e/s(i'll review). I bought the headband on the streets. They had a lot more street vendors than I remember.

But this is my favorite, the only thing I planned on getting Paul & Joe blush & e/s. It is the cutest & sweetest ever.

I got this at Fao Swartz. They had  a great Barbie section. I got this for my purse.

These 2 rings I got in the streets of Soho. They were 2/$20. I love that color blue.

I'm going to review the Paul & Joe, but if your thinking if getting anything from them, get it.  What else do you recommend from them?

Also, I saw Loreal has a new face primer for $12.99, has anyone seen it. What's the best primer for oily skin?

KAT VON D- MAKEUP REVIEW

BUY : Sephora(sale ends 4/21)

COST: $34

I wanted to put up this review before my NY haul post because Sephora is having a 15% off sale-code:BD2T9CB5.
TOP: True Romance Ludwig   BOTTOM: True Romance Beethoven
This is a day or nighttime look palette.  The Black &  dark brown are matte.
This palette is a palette of blues/purples/brown.
Overall this is a great product with beautiful packaging, from the paper it comes wrapped in. You get 8 e/s for $34 before the discount.  The colors are vibrant, smooth, & very bendable. The swatches are 1-2 swipes & look how much they show up.  I could have taken these 2 palettes, but I put them away & totally forgot.

Has anyone tried any of the other Kat Von D products?

MAKEUP-WHAT I PACKED FOR MY TRIP

So I used to over-pack clothes & shoes whenever I would travel.  Now I pack too much makeup. I need a small section of my suitcase just for all my makeup stuff.  Then I'm paranoid if something breaks.  Nothing broke this time, except my curling iron barrel bent. I'm afraid to turn it on to see if it works.

This is what I took:
This is what I used:
Honestly I could have just taken my 88 palette. I took too many brushes too.  The trio is from Stila, from my beautycrunch haul.  It is really good, I'll have to review it.

What is the one thing you over-pack?  Oh, any suggestions on the curling iron, turn  it on or toss it?

NEW YORK - TRIP (pic heavy)

I love New York & I miss it already!  I have a ton of things to say & show you, so I'm going to split it up in a couple of days.  I had the best time & the best food ever.  Everything I ate from the hot dog carts to the Steak House was amazing.  We walked for the entire time, rain or cold. I didn't want to miss a thing.
Time Square is CRAZY busy, amazing, & fun.

Toys R Us in times square has a ferris wheel in it. Of course we rode it.
This is Lexington Ave. where you can find ANY store you can think of.

We stayed at the Hyatt Grand Central Station & this is inside Grand Central.  So many movies were made here. It's so nostolgic. The best part, the most amaziningly delish food court. From bakeries, italian, indian, deli. Everything is gourmet quality. A must see.

Fao Swartz was so fun. Central Park, The Plaza, & Fao were all in a circle next to each other.  the girls love Home Alone, so this was so fun for them, & me too.
The candy store in Fao.
Hello Bloomies- do you miss me?
Central Park was my Fave.  I love it there. I have more pics of this later.  This was just the first day. It was cold, cloudy & rain, But I had the best time.

Have you been to NY, what was your fave thing about it?

L.A. COLORS EYESHADOW

I'm so happy to be back from NY because I've missed reading all your blogs. I feel like I've missed so many goodies. I had a great time, I love NY.  I'll  post some pics & a small haul from there.
So this is one of the set of e/s I took with me.  L.A. colors 5 shadow is super pigmented & pretty cheap. I bought his at a store called Styles for $2.49. You  could get lucky & sometimes find L.a. colors at the dollar store.  Cherry Culture carries them for $4.

The colors I got was called wine & roses.  I love them. They are a little powdery, but they last a long time.
I love how rich the colors look. They have a perfect shimmer to them. You don't need to pile on the e/s to get it to show, like some less expensive products. They had 3 other color combo's, I have to go back & try them.
Has anyone tried the other colors or products? What did you like/dislike?

MAC BRUSH- 181 SE

I got this se brush with a holiday collection this past Xmas.  This is what it looks like 3 months later! It's the buffer brush.  I have seen & read a lot of people talk about the quality of these brushes is not good, & it's true.  If you want the Mac brushes, it's better to wait & get the originals when you can.  I use the set I got for traveling now.
What is upsetting is that even though this is a special edition, it should't look like this.  It's real poor quality.
Look at my coastalscents brush, it's 2 yrs old.  It looks & feels great still.  Even though it's not a full size brush, Mac is still putting there name on it.  If you could get a soft brush for $6, why can't Mac do the same.  Just saying, its only my op

HASKIN BB CREAM-UPDATE

So I didn't want to give up on the BB cream & used it for the last 2 weeks.  I try a lot of things, but after 2-3 days  I have to stop.  I'll  breakout, my skin will itch, or my eyes become bloodshot, even though I never use anything on my eyes.  I found the Premium Magic BB was not oily at all, & my skin didn't freak out.
The color looks like it would match perfectly, but it looks grayish when it goes on the skin. This BB is very light coverage. I used it under Mac Msf or Revlon Colorstay Foundation.   I couldn't it use it alone.  I have to say my skin looks better, & I didn't break out once while using it.
I'm going to keep using it.  I'll keep you updated & let you know what my skin is doing.

Could anyone recommend something that evens out skin tone or a full coverage BB?

MAC CCO-HAUL

This is my retail therapy for Saturday. It was one of those days when I really was blah!!! So I drove my boody to the CCO at The Block. Sometimes it's not so good to have a CCO so close.

I bought a holiday palette in Devoted Poppy & 2 e/s in Evening Aura(top) & Lotusland.
I love Lotusland. It's from the Starflash collection, which are really soft. Evening Aura looks light gold on. It's a pretty lid color with almost any color.  I'm afraid to depot the Starflash. Has anyone done it. I already broke one.

Besides the haul, I've been getting ready for New York. I'm leaving on Tuesday :), but I heard it's really cold, boo!  I hope to be checking my blog, but I already have postings set to go up. In case you gals need some reading.  Well I'm excited to take lots of pics & share them with you!

xoxo

NYX LIPSTICK SWATCHES

I hope every one's having a great weekend.  I went to the CCO & got a couple of things, but this post is about NYX lippies.  I was on Sonya's blog & she had NYX  lipstick swatches on there.  I went to check out some colors on Cherryculture. The colors on cherryculture.com look nothing like the real lip colors. Here are swatches of the ones I have for reference. Sonya has different colors than I do, so look at her blog too.

Left - right: Iris, Mute, Christie
Left - Right Harmonica, Sash, Frosted Beige
These are really good lippies for the $$(2-4).  They are frosty & pigmented.  Be careful they can get soft & break easily though.  You can find them on ebay, ulta, & cherryculture.com.  This is a great buy for those colors you always wanted to try, but didn't want to spend the $$$(like red pink, orange).
What other NYX products do you like?  I love the eyeshadows too.

NARS SIN & CASINO-REVIEW

Confession: I'm a huge sucker for packaging! Not a good obsession to have.

Cost:$45

Happy, Happy Friday everyone! I'm excited for the week is over, & my two little ladies are on spring break! I had to share with you what I have been using everyday.  The Nars Sin/Casino Duo.  I'm in love.
Sin is so gorgeous.  It's like a pinkie mauve with a hint of gold shimmer.  It's not all glittery all over your face, like super orgasm.  I have Orgasm & I like it, but it hardly shows up on me. I have use  alot of product.
The Casino is dark, but you only need a little.  It is more brown than the Laguna.  The Laguna is a bit more orange.
I do think Nars is pricey, but the blushes are awesome. The colors are all beautiful & intense. A little goes a long way. If you want to splurge somewhere, do it with the duos. It's worth it. Both these colors come as singles too.  The product last for a long time.  I usually wait until Sephora has a promo going to make myself fell better about the $$.

What is your favorite Nars product or blush? I put up hauls sometimes, let me know if you want to see something better/swatched. I'll be happy to do so. xoxo

WHAT'S IN & WHAT'S OUT

These are my thoughts for March:

INS
1.  Flip flops- It's been pretty warm & mostly sunny so I have taken out the flip flips. I swear my feet are so pale from being in boots.
2. Mac Hue lippie- I need another one already. I love this color, it's so soft.  What I love best is I could just put it on without looking & it looks perfect. I keep it in my purse at all times.
3. I tend t hold on to things & think about them all the time. I am going to try to let things go & stop stressing.  I'm so over being mad/upset.

OUTS
1.Using my flat iron. My ends are so dry, & I just got my haircut. I need to start looking into hair products.
2.Big purses-my back & arms are killing me. This is something I will have to transition into.
3.Traffic-I am getting so frustrated. Why don't people watch out, there's a car in the way, me!
4.Heavy perfume-I am having problems with any scents that are too strong! Maybe because it's allergy season.

Any light fresh scents you can recommend? or Hair care for dry ends?
