MAC MINERAL SKIN FINISH

These are my only 4 Mac MSF's. I love the idea of them. I love the way they look, but honestly I hardly use them. I use them as a highlighter, but since I don't own many matte blushes, I try not to look too shiny or glittery. I pulled them out because they're one of the products I want to use more of. Maybe if I got the darker shades of the MSF's, I could use it as a blush. I was looking at the Mac Colour Craft collection & I love a lot of the MSF's. I hope they look just as good in person. The colors look darker.

But what I do use a lot are the MSF natural. I love them because it can be used by itself or to set your foundation. They don't leave a powdery look, but a really pretty shine, no glitter. I don't really use the shimmer side of the split MSF, but it's a really pretty shimmer.
What are your thoughts on Mac MSF's? What are your suggestions or ideas? What do you think of the Colour Craft collection?

CLIPLESS CURLING IRON HAUL

COST:$43
SIZE:25-18

I found this on Amazon from Le Angelique. I could not pass it up for the money. A warning though, it came in a box w/no papers. The company offers a phone number to get in touch with them. They shipped it out the next day & I got it within 4 days. They also offer other size barrels & sell flat irons.

You get really pretty loose curls. I've been watching tutorials on YT. Pursebuzz has a good one using the Enzo Milano.

This curling iron gets so hot, use the glove that comes with it. I will put up a pic of my hair when I've had more practice.
Do you have one of these? Any tips?

PRODUCT OF THE MONTH- COASTAL SCENTS DELUXE BUFFER BRUSH

COST $8 @Coastal Scents

I have had this brush for a couple of years & used it for mineral makeup. I pulled it out & am now using it with my Colorstay Liquid Foundation, I am sooooo in love. My skin looks air brushed. It looks like I have no makeup on. It's perfect for summer. I also only need a small amount of product, & it's a super fast application. This is the short handle brush, the longer handle brush is too soft & the bristles don't cover good enough. The brush is still wet in this pic, but these brushes are great. After you wash them, they don't really shed & get softer.
I'm going to try the 109 dupe that I got from IMATS next. Give it a try & let me know what you think. Do you like this brush? What other face brushes do you recommend?

IMATS 2009-HAUL

Imats was super busy when I was there. I had to wiggle my way into the Crown Brushes area, or wait my turn to get to a brush. I was patient, & this is what I got. The prices were the same as the CS, but at least I wasn't paying shipping. I can't wait to try the Kabuki on a stick, 109 dupe.I found the Mehron concealer wheel & Primer that I have been wanting to try. I will review them after I try them out.
I love this empty palette. It's called the Z palette & it's magnetized. It will hold any depotted eyeshadow or blush. You make your own custom palette to hold e/s with blushes. They have a website,www. zpalette.com, that shows you how to depot Nars, Cargo, Mac, & many other brands. Take a look at it. $16.95
The top is see through, so you could see what's inside. It holds 27 Mac e/s though.
I found this foundation palette at Crown brushes for $15. I wanted to try it for the green, lavender, & dark color for sculpting. I thought it was a good price to experiment with.
That's it. I though I would find more, but I knew I wouldn't use the bright colors or the glitters, so I passed. Has anyone tried any of the makeup products?

IMATS 2009 + Rant+ Random

Hello everyone. My life has been kookoo crazy!!

I did go to IMATS after all. I thought I wouldn't make it, but I went on Sunday. I did haul, so I will post that. I didn't go crazy. They had a lot of loose e/s, & I'm too messy for that. I bought a lot of brushes. It was pretty crowded, but not bad. I did see a few gurus walking around. They had demos going on everywhere. The special effects makeup was amazing! I couldn't get into MUFE because it was soooooo crowded. I wanted a foundation, but so did everyone else & the testers were everywhere. I couldn't test the colors. Mac was crazy too. They were more organized though. I didn't get anything there. I'm going on a trip so I'm holding back on spending!!!
Did you go to IMATS? What did you think?

Next, this is for the John/Kate followers. Did you see the show last night. I think they both are both selfish. It's sad they're divorcing, but things happen. They suck because she hasn't been there(she's been on tour for 2 yrs) & he's looking for an apt. in NY. You're running from your kids, they're not in NY. The house is where they'll stay when its their turn with the kids. WHAT??? She filed for divorce yesterday. I didn't believe her tears. I would be curled up in a ball, not giving my $75K interview. I hope his new girl & her body guard/boyfriend are happy. What happened to them going to church & her family money making speaking engagements at churches??
What do you think about these 2?

Finally, I have decided to use the clothes that I have & recycle them. Change them, cut them, I'm not sure yet? I'm working on it, but I do have a sewing machine!!!!!
Any ideas????

JUICY COUTURE PRESENT & HAUL

Happy Father's Day to my hubby!!  Our kids left for a couple of weeks, but I'm still celebrating w/Sugar Daddy, luv you!

I was shopping for father's day & I picked up a little Juicy wrist clutch to match my Mamma's Day gift from the hubby & kids.  This is the purse.  I love it because it a metallic silver & leather. I think it's great for the summer! I love the chain(it's plastic) & it's light weight.

This is the wrist clutch that I'm using as wallet & evening clutch when I go out.
I love the pattern inside & the credit card holders. I also have room to throw in a powder & lippie for a night out. I saw it in silver, but it sold. Then I noticed the gold studs on my purse & bought this. I got a great deal on it at Lohmann's. I had a 25% off $49 + 10%.
What do you love from Juicy?  I wonder if they will come out w/ makeup?

FABULINER/EYE LINER- PRODUCT OF THE WEEK

COST:$2@Walgreens

I have been using Revlon's Colorstay eyeliner FOREVER, until now.  I saw a bunch of YT's review this & it's great. It's cheap, great color payoff, & last a long time. The reviews say this is better than Mac's eyeliner pen that just came out.
Fabuliner(L) & Revlon (R) The wand is thicker & wider, but the end product is worth it. It does have a very pinted tip to get close to the eyelashes. It does take a little practice to get used to. Now I just slop it on with one hand.
Revlon(TOP) & Fabuliner(bottom) With Revlon you go over the lines to get the same color w/1 swipe of the Fabuliner. It's really great. If you're not a pro with liquid eyeliner, put a line down with a pencil first & go over it with the liquid!
I bought this in brown also & its really pretty. The color is dark enough to show up & looks brown.
Have you tried this? What's your favorite eyeliner?

CONAIR HAIR DIFFUSER

COST:$10-20
STORE: google it because it can be any diffuser, they all work the same. Some you can attach to your dryer.

Hello everyone!  I'm missing you!  I have been soooo busy this week. I have had my hubby's family in town for the last week, my kids are finishing school & going back w/the in-laws, & we are having our house painted.   I'm hoping things will calm down, so I can catch up with everyone.  I wanted to show you what I've been using to do my hair real quick.

Conair hair diffuser. You use it to dry your hair.  I put in mousse when my hair is wet & place my hair on the spokes until it's dry. If your hair is really thin, dry your hair upside down for volume.
This is what I get. Then if you have parts that are unruly, I just curl them.  I finish off w/hair spray. Sorry the color of the pics are off lately.  June gloom in Cali is making hard to get a good pic.
What is your easy go to hair style, product, tool?

MAC BRUSH- 224 + UPDATE

I forgot to post this LE 224 brush from my haul.  I didn't have a 224, so when I saw this @ the CCO, I was excited.  Plus, it's a beautiful ornate handle. It's sterling silver & heavy. This brush really smokes out the color.

In other news, I have been busy with the in-laws because they are in town for another week.  My kids are going back with them for a couple weeks, so that's exciting & sad for me. I saw that I have a couple blog awards, thanks so much. I hope to be getting to those soon.

I went to see the Honey collection from Mac & i didn't buy 1 thing. I wasn't impressed by anything.  I think the e/s collections that are LE have no color pay off in recent collections.

What do you think?

MAC HAUL/BEAUTY SPREE -CCO

I did make it to the CCO at Ontario last weekend. If the hubby was not with me, I would have had less control than this !!!!!!  They had soooo many things.    Iyah is always right!

DAMAGE:

Mineral Blush: Gentle   MSF: So Ceylon
I love the Monogram collection for the packaging. The compact is metal. I just couldn't buy anything when it came out. I felt the colors were too similar to others from Mac for the price.
There were 3 colors to choose from. I got Old English. It has gold glitter in it, but the color is very shear!
Ungaro e/s- Lilac Touch. I only bought the powder from this collection. When I swatched this color again I really loved it. I have been using it in the crease w/a pink e/s. It's so pretty for daytime. Even for a lid w/black eyeliner. Very nice.
What's the collection that you didn't buy from, that you now regret?

E.L.F. BRUSHES-PRODUCT OF THE WEEK

COST:$1

eyeslipsface.com

These brushes from the regular line at E.L.F.  I like & use these the most.  The shadow brush & crease brush are the best. The crease brush is comparable to the Sonia Kashuk crease brush. The Mac 217 is a great brush, but so is this one.  The shadow brush packs on the color, & is very soft. The liner brush is a little long, but what I love is that the bristles are stiff, so you have a nice line.

I have washed them with baby shampoo & they don't shed or smell funny.  They look brand new & some are 2 years old.  The face brushes I don't recommend . They shed & lose they're shape. They're a mess.
I'm planning on getting the studio line brushes too. I heard the face brushes are great.

I heard E.L.F. is launching in the U.K. this month, so that's exciting. E.L.F.  I can't wait to hear the reviews.
In these times a $1 brush is a great thing!!

What do you think of E.L.F. ?

MAC STYLE WARRIORS LUSTRE DROPS-DUPE

COST:$6@ any drugstore
SHADE:002

I have found a product that is a dupe for Style Warriors Lustre Drops in Pink Rebel, actually all 3 colors can be duped.  It is the Rimmel 8hr. Mousse Blush.  I bought it & I love this product on its own besides it being a dupe.

It's really soft & liquidy so you can mix it in with your foundation. They have all color ranges. You could match up the bronze colors also for the bronzey foundation or to darken a foundation.
This color on its own is super pretty. It has gold flecks that reflect the light. I use it alone or on top of another blush. I use a Mac 187 brush.  This is a great highlight too.
I'm really excited about this blush. I love the color & how light it feels. Plus it's a dupe for a Mac LE product!!!!

Have you tried these before? What color do you like?

BED HEAD - 1 1/2 in. CURLING IRON

I'm in love with Bed Head curling irons.  This is the 1 1/2 in. & it gives the big curls & most important, they last.  It heats up to 425 F.  The clamp holds the hair really good, so you could curl big pieces of hair.  It also leaves the ends smooth, where other curling irons make them look dry. I know they have it at Target, but check TJ Maxx & Marshall's, it's 1/2 the price.  I have the small one too & it works just as good. Plus it's magenta.

I also heard that Mac is having a friends & family sale w /25% off. I've been looking on the site & a lot of things are already sold out. I wonder if they'll get them back in? What's a good thing not to miss out on?

FOREVER 21 - HAUL

Today is my anniversary( I won't tell you how many years, you won't believe me)!!  I am super excited because we are going out for dinner & drinks.  I stopped at Forever 21 to pick something up for the our night out, & a couple of extras.

This is what I'm wearing: Dress $20
This shirt is so soft & light. It's form fitting & very comfy. $12. It comes in black too.
On the way out I found this pretty leaf necklace($4) & they had these LA Colors Nail Art Deco paints in 5 colors (1.80). I got the black for lepard nails!
I love F21 & they just opened one up in my downtown area. It takes me 2 min. to get there, bad for the wallet!  I also picked up a shirt for Suga Daddy, I really do call him that,  they have a men's section too.
Well I'll let you know about my night!!!

MAKE UP FOR EVER SMOKY LASH MASCARA-PRODUCT OF THE WEEK

Cost $22@ Sephora

The beautiful Laura, lollipop26writes, & gorgeous Mel, melformakeup, both raved about this mascara, & guess what, they were right. It is great & it doesn't irritate  my allergy eyes.  The formula just makes your lashes "swell". It lengthens & thickens, with 1 coat. It also holds the curl.

I love thick brushes like this. It puts the product on with 1 sweep. The color is deep & dark. What I really love is it doesn't make your lashes feel dry & give them that paper feeling.
It's everything it says on the tube. They just came out with the waterproof version also. Try it out, Sephora will take it back if you don't like it! I asked.

What's your favorite mascara? Have you tried this yet?

THIS IS WHY-RANDOM

So my lazy feet can be found with my lazy butt on the running machine today. This is why!!!

Last night it was worth the 10,000 calories, but not today! The good news is that I don't have a hangover!!
P.S. The one thing I hate is SWEATING! UUGH

LAURA MERCIER- FOUNDATION PRIMER OIL FREE

COST:$30 @ Sephora

I got this as a sample from Sephora. I am so glad I didn't buy it. I really don't like this. It felt like when I put the primer on it never dried. It didn't cover the pores or lines.  Within a couple of hours my makeup just slid off. My T-zone was more oily than dry.
I've heard so many good things about Laura Mercier, but it's 2 strikes for me. I think it's too expensive to not last a long time. It oxidizes on my face. I looked at the other products, but there are better products for less money from other brands.
What do you guys think?

MAC STYLE WARRIORS

This is was I decided on with the  Mac Style Warriors collection.  Blush, bronzer & 2 lippies. I didn't get any of the eyeshadows. The only one I wanted I got with my tempting quad from the CCO.  I know people don't like the design, but I guess I'm tacky like that. I think it's fun to get something new!

Bronzer in Solar Riche, Blush in On A Mission,  Lips Sunsational & Purple Rite
Sunsational(L), Purple Rite(R) I love these 2 for summer. I wear them together too!
Solar Riche(L) & On A Mission(R) These look like the lip swatches. I do love this blush. I think it's a new color for Mac. I wish they would have more new colors.
That's it, short & sweet.  Did I miss anything? What did you get or think about the collection?
