MY FAVORITE NEW SELF TANNER - SUN LAB(I bought this myself)

I ordered this myself after seeing so many reviews on it, and it Really is great!  I got it in Dark because I think the light & medium would need 2 applications to 1 of dark.  I don't know if its true, but it works for me.

You get a beautiful caramel shade, not yellow or orange.  I put it on in the morning and I was dark within hours.  We were in Las Vegas, & I was darker with this than people baking in the sun.  I am not a sun worshiper, the sweating and heat drive me nuts.  My legs looked nice and toned with with my summer dresses.

Pros
  • Gives you a great sun kissed color
  • It makes your skin so soft, baby soft, love
  • Doesn't stain your clothes
  • Smells like a cherry slushy, yummy
  • Product is dark so you know where your putting it
  • Not streaky
  • A little goes a long way
Cons
  • You have to wash your hands after applying on each part or your hands will look like mud
  • Takes a while to absorb & dry
I will repurchase.  Like I said in my drugstore self tanner post, It's so hard not looking like a streaky orange mess.  This for me just works, with no fuss.

I was at Ulta and I saw it there for $32, I wonder if the 20% coupon will work on it?  I'm itching to try the St. Tropez tanner.  How is that?

Do you think a high end tanner is better than a low end one?

BRONZER COLLECTION/ + Top high/low End

I do not need another bronzer.  But I keep still keep trying them looking for the perfect "tan" color.  The problem for me is that they are too shimmery or too ashy.  I either look like a disco ball or the gold looks more yellow than tan.

THE FAVORITES

Nars Casino ($39) -This is the Sin/Casino duo- You need only a little and its a "tan" looking color

Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer ($9)-  I use this everyday, natural color with a hint of shimmer. and buildable where you get more tan instead of gold

Of course please tell me what you like as a bronzer. I love to try a new one!

NEW LIMITED EDITION N.Y.C. CREME BLUSH COLORS

Wild Berry

Pink Flash

I saw these from the register at CVS in one of those displays.  They came out with limited edition colors for summer.  I though both were just beautiful.  i first just got the Wild Berry because i don't think I have anything that bright.  It's really a bright orchid pink.  Then  for $3.49, how could I leave out the Pink Flash.  Sometimes I look at it and its peach and other times pink.

Here is my review of my first Creme Blush.  They are really great, and super for the hot summer days.  They also had other products, but this is all that was left.  They had to matching glosses.

Have you tried these yet?  What do you think?  What's your favorite cream blush?

DRUGSTORE HAUL - trying out some old favorites

I went to buy some cutting shears to trim my bangs and the layers that frame my face and ended up with some new/old things too.  I 've been trying the Voluminous again, and I love it.  I used it in the past for years, but then it just made my eyes itch.  I don't know if they changed the formula, but it feels better now.  I have been loving my Cover Girl clean foundation, so I wanted to get the powder to see how it worked. The Wet n Wild cover stick, we'll have to see about this, but Wet n Wild have some great products out now.  The matte l/s and eye shadows are great!

I have been having the worst allergies, my eyes and face.  It's hard to know what will trigger them.

What do you use for allergy eyes that won't irritate them?  Any other allergy advice what be great!

DRUGSTORE SELF TANNERS- Best & Worst

I have the worst luck finding self tanners.  The color or the smell never work out.  These are some of the ones I've tried, and didn't like.

Worst

Neutrogena, Banana Boat, Vaseline Healthy Glow - Sticky and gave me a yellow undertone
Ulta spay bronzer- this goes on unevenly and the nozzle broke
Loreal Sublime- smelled awful and streaky

The Best

The Aveeno brand moisturizing gradual tanners were the best.  I love aveeno products, and these gave me an even color and made my skin super soft.  It smells like a cream, not offensive at all.  best of all you see color within 2 applications.  The Dial Up Aveeno tanner works right away.

EYELINER Low & High End for the Waterline-The Winner Is?

I needed a new black eyeliner for my waterline because my gel liner was beginning to bother me.  Also my eyes are watering like crazy.  I tried out 2 drugstore, Revlon Colorstay and Loreal Extra Intense($8-9), and 1 high end, MUFE Aqua Eyes($17).  One stood out...

THE WINNER

Loreal Extra Intense Eyeliner in Black
  • Super black
  • Glides on
  • Doesn't smudge
  • Doesn't move
The Colorstay was in close second, but it's a little dry, but had great lasting power too.
The biggest let down was the MUFE Aqua Eyes stay put liner.  Just putting it on was a chore.  I had to keep going over the waterline to get any color pay-off.  Then it just slid right down.  I don't get it, it says Stays put liner.

I have to say drugstore products have really improved, a lot!

What are you using on your water line or as an eyeliner?

MAC TO THE BEACH - MARINE LIFE

Store: Mac.com, Macy's, Nordstrom's
COST: $26.50
3/5 Stars

This is really one of Mac's beautiful creations. It's a great design.  However, for me it's a bit too glittery. What the MA said to me is it is a highlighter at first because the gold is an over spray and then you are left with a peach and pink blush.  She had the peach part as a blush and it really looked more like a matte blush.  I will have to let you know how true that is.

I was also eyeing the cream bronzer, but that was also too glittery.  I was tempted, but the $30 price tag made me think about it.  I have so many bronzers that i already never use.  Plus, my face has been so oily lately. I'm afraid it will slip right off.

Have you bought from this collection?  What do you think of the bronzer, are they worth the price?
