COLLECTIVE MAC HAUL

When the Mac Venomous Villains collection came out I was in Michigan, and by the time I got to the store, everything was sold out.  So I thought I would skip this collection.  Then when I got back home, I found my mac counter had a few items left.

De-Vil eyeshadow, Bite of an Apple Blush, & Briar Rose Beauty Powder

I really like the De-Vil eyeshadow, especially for a fall/winter look.  I did not have anything as bright as the Bite Of An Apple Blush,  I was excited they finally gave us a beauty powder that we could actually see the color of.

L - R De-Vil, Bite Of An Apple, Briar Rose
I have been using the De-vil in the crease with browns and purples.  The Bite Of An Apple I find to be a little dry feeling, but the color is really pretty. I love the sheen of the Briar Rose on the cheeks.

My CCO's have had nothing to brag about.  I went a couple of times and came out with these two.  Push the Edge pigment and Blossoming cream blush.  This is my first Mac cream blush and I love it.  I think I may prefer cream over powder blush because of the finish.  I am not of fan of pigments, but I just love purples, and this is a rich royal purple color I could not leave behind.

Top- Blossoming
Bottom- Push the Edge

I haven't been to get any of the Holiday collection.  I love palettes, but these Holiday palettes are nothing I want to jump into.  I do like the plaid though and the little bags, but not a fan of the Mac travel brushes.

Are you a fan of pigments?  How do you apply them?  Have you gotten anything from the Mac Holiday Collection?

MAC FEROCIOUS FELINES + MAC DIDI POP - HAUL

This collection was really pretty and there was something for everyone.  I think the lipsticks were really unique and something different.  I also picked up a lipstick from the Didi- Pop Collection.

L - R
Leopard Luxe Quad
Infused with Glam- Digi- Pop collection
Aristo-Cat

The quads in this collection were all really dupable with other colors in the permanent line, but I just like this color combo so much.  It's small enough to go with me and go from day to night.

L - R
Infused with Glam
Aristo- Cat
Aritso-Cat is so pretty.  It's a pink/lavender with a gold undertone.  It really looks different each time I put it on.
Infused With Glam ahhhhh, I am not a glitter girl, I think the glitter will end up all over, but I LOVED all the lipsticks in this collection.  I wish they would make them in regular colors.  There were so many I wanted, I shocked myself.  I only got one, but I'm going to try it out and let you know if I end up like a disco ball.

Have you gotten anything from Mac lately or their collections?  What's your next Mac purchase?

MAC IN THE GROOVE - HAUL +swatches

Stereo Rose
I really wasn't interested in this, even with all the hype, but when I saw it in person, I realized it would be a great blush.  I'm not a huge MSF fan, but this color is really pretty, peach/pink/gold.

Jazzed
I love cremesheens, but I hope this doesn't get deformed like my others.  This is a really pretty peach & flattering on too.

Band of Roses
This blush duo looked so nice on.  You have the light pink/dark raspberry, and swirled together is the perfect deeper hot pink.

Artifact Paint Pot
This wasn't in the collection, but I don't know why I don't have this.  I love purples and cranberry's.  This will be perfect underneath or even alone.  I'll have to try some combinations out.

The collection was really pretty.  I didn't get any eye shadows because they make my eyes itch, but they had really pretty color combos.  The lippies were all really pretty too.  I may have to go back for a second look.

Did you get anything from this collection?  What's your experience with the cremesheen formulation?  Any ideas for my artifact paint pot?

MAC TO THE BEACH - MARINE LIFE

Store: Mac.com, Macy's, Nordstrom's
COST: $26.50
3/5 Stars

This is really one of Mac's beautiful creations. It's a great design.  However, for me it's a bit too glittery. What the MA said to me is it is a highlighter at first because the gold is an over spray and then you are left with a peach and pink blush.  She had the peach part as a blush and it really looked more like a matte blush.  I will have to let you know how true that is.

I was also eyeing the cream bronzer, but that was also too glittery.  I was tempted, but the $30 price tag made me think about it.  I have so many bronzers that i already never use.  Plus, my face has been so oily lately. I'm afraid it will slip right off.

Have you bought from this collection?  What do you think of the bronzer, are they worth the price?

MAC CORAL CREPE PAINTPOT - Pret a Papier Collection

STORE : Mac Cosmetics
$16.50
4/5 STARS

This is my only purchace from the lat 2 collections from Mac.  I saw Michele 1218 rave about tis product on YT, and she was right.  I love paintpots.  They are easy, a good base, come in tons of colors, long lasting, and you can use only a paintpot for a lid color.

This paintpot is from the Pret a Papier collection os Coral Crepe.  It is a coral wit a hint of gold shimmer.  It liiks great alone or paired up with browns or golds.  I think it's a good buy because I haven't really seen a coral as a base before.  I think it's LE, so if you're interested go take a look now.

What's your favorite e/s base to use?

MY FAVORITE MAC EYESHADOW

Mac Tempting!   It's my go to eyeshadow.   I love that it  gives a pretty soft smokey eye.  It's an easy look, all over the lid with a black liner and mascara.  The glitter is really soft, more like a shimmer, so it's not like you're looking like a disco ball at the grocery store or bank.   It's a color I can wear for a day or night look.

What's your favorite eyeshadow or go to eyeshadow color?  Brown, blue, purple...?

BARGAIN ALERT: WET n WILD/MAC DUPES?

I've been waiting for a Wet n Wild BOGO because I have become obsessed with the idea that the new 6 Wet n Wild icon palettes are dupes for the Mac Colour Forecast Quads!

MAC COLOUR 4
WETnWILD 249 VANITY

MAC COLOUR 3

WET n WILD 248 LUST
This is the one I want because I bought the Colour Forecast 3

What do you think,  am I close?  I actually love what the whole Wet n Wild line looks like.

Have you tried or swatched these?  How are they?  What about the Matte Lipsticks?

MAC CLOUR FORECAST HAUL +swatches

This collection is really pretty.  I think it's maybe because I'm in live with purples this month.

I never buy back ups, ever, but I think I will this blush.

Azalea Blossom

It gradiates from a pink to a purple, but the color comes out thus beautiful smooth pink.  I don't know why, but whenever I get those blush with the mosaics or stripes, I always blotch it up when putting it on.  This blends and it's really smooth on the face.

Colour Quad 3

Love it also.  The only color that doesn't show a lot is the Mink Pink.  I have been using this everyday.  The colors are all usable.  They all work together for a day/night look.

There are so many products in these collection.  I got confused.

What I think:

Lipstick/Lipglass- The colors are pretty, but the nudes are too dull & don't show up on my lips.  I'm not buying any lipgloss/glass I hardly wear them, but pretty colors.

Blush- All are very pigmented, but the only other one I would think of getting is Springshine, light peach.
The darker purple & peach look dirt when you put them one.

Quads- Both are pretty and worth getting

Single Eyeshadows- Not pigmented enough & dry

Pigments- I'm not a fan of pigments, but I would get these.  So rich, smooth, & creamy.  Both sets are great.

I don't know if I'll get anything else, maybe the blush in Springshine.  I got a kit that I may think would be great dupes for this collection. I'll have to take some pictures and you will have to let me know.

What did you get or think of the collection?
What do you have back-up products of?

MAC WARM & COZY & MAC ALL RACES HAUL +swatches/thoughts on the Mac collection

These are the only 2 things I picked up from ALL the new collections.

Warm & Cozy - Milled Cider Eye Shadow

All Races, All Ages, All Sexes - All's Good Beauty Powder Blush

Milled Cider Swatch
All's Good Swatch
Milled Cider is really the only one that I thought looked different or showed up. Today I used it all over w/Carbon in the outer V, which was a quick & easy smokey eye. Is it a great color, no it's OK!

All's Good Blush I thought would be great for summer, a bronzer, or contour. The blush color is really pretty & smooth.

The rest of the collections were OK. I have so many dupable colors, & by Mac. The e/s are like all the rest of the collections, they hardly show up & very dry feeling & looking. The lipsticks all look alike from the collections. They look like colors I already own. The MSF's were so glittery, I love the thought of the MSF, but never use them, too shiny.

Mac in Lillyland collection was a beautiful idea, with some beautiful colors, but the execution, not so much. I really wanted the blush, but when I swirled it it came out looking like a yellow & green bruise on my face. The cream blushes were so pretty, but I am not a cream blush person. The same fore the lippies. The e/s hardly showed.

All in all, I could have passed on everything. The colors were pretty, but the permanent line is better quality & easily dupes what has come out. The eye shadows I am convinced are a cheaper quality. I asked the MUA why this was & she fell silent. Oh, after I told her I wasn't interested in the shade stick, she said,"yeah, they dry out way too fast."

So these are my thoughts & opinions. What do you think of the Mac Collection? Is there anything that really stands out to you?

MAC BABY GOTH GIRL DUPE -SINFULCOLORS($2 Walgreens)

I read so many reviews that Mac Baby Goth Girl was OK or they returned it so I passed on it. Then I was at Walgreens & I found this color & it looks so close. I love the color. It's perfect for the fall/winter. It isn't dark & it looks like Baby Goth Girl. There's glitter in it, but it's not the kind you can never take off!

Sinfulcolors - Rich in Heart- $2

Mac Baby Goth Girl swatch
I think with all polishes you need a top coat for it to stay on longer, even the OPI. It's a great color for a great price.

What is your favorite polish color right now?

MAC HOLIDAY COLLECTION 2009 HAUL & MAC DSQUARED

I headed over to Mac today for the Holiday 2009 launch. I was a little disappointed again.
I ended up with only 2 things. I bought the eyeshadow palette in Smoke & Mirrors and a
Dsquared greasepaint stick in V.

I love this paint stick. Look at the color, royal purple w/black. This won't budge at all. It's better than the shadesticks & paint pot. It's a great base or just lid color.
They had 6 palettes. I chose this one because i know i can use all the colors. What i noticed about this years & last years palettes is that the eye shadows are chalky.
What i really noticed is the size of the shadows. i feel like they are 1/2 last years shadow size. Here is last years smokey palette. The size looks smaller, is it?
What i loved most was the bags that the kits came with. They were really pretty, but i already had a lot of the colors they put together. The one thing i did like though was the blush/highlight/bronzer combos. I already had those colors, but i was leaning towards the pink one.

I'm done with this collection. I really wasn't too excited with it or the size or the texture of the shadows.

What are your thoughts? Do you like anything or are you getting something from the collection?

3 MAC PRODUCTS I MISSED OUT ON - TAG

There is a great Tag going on YT. What are the 3 Mac products you missed out on? I always think about what I should have bought or missed out on. I guess if I never really wanted them is one thing, but I wanted these & swatched them & never bought them. I had them in my hands.

Manish Arora

This one really got me mad. I thought they had released it at all the Mac stores or Pro stores. I picked out everything I wanted & even put it in my basket online. I go to my Pro store & what, no. It's only online!! Came home & it was all sold out! The colors are not my fave, but I love fashion & makeup, I really wanted this. I am a packaging whore.

Cult of Cherry Collection

Spiced quad- I swatched this 10x's & I didn't get it. These are my colors, why didn't I do it? Now they just cost too much on ebay.

Barbie Loves Mac

Hello it's Barbie & Mac having a love affair. This was when I was a Mac virgin still. I looked at it & just loved all the Barbie logos, but I didn't know a thing about makeup. I wouldn't even swatch them because the girls at my Mac counter scared me!!

Now I tag all of you!
What are your 3 regrets? Tell us below or let me know your link!

HARD CANDY @ WALMART (Mac Dupe Alert & swatches)

I've been watching a lot of drugstore hauls & fave on YT, & found out they are selling Hard Candy at Walmart. They are $6-10 $ have the cutest (or tackiest) packaging. I think I was slow on this because a lot of things were sold out-gone!

I bought a lipstick in Fire Alarm & Shadow Stick in whimsy. I wanted to try more, but I thought i would start w/these 2.
Top- Whimsy is a shadow stick or base. I am going to also use it as a cream blush-Pretty!

Bottom- Fire Alarm lippi- it's like a lipstick & gloss in one- no need for a gloss
I wanted too show how whimsey looks as base. It actually brings out the sparkle in the Mac shadows.

L-R Whimsey, Nocturnal, Sketch, Da Bling

The colors look so vibrant. I think I will still use a paint pot first because the whimsey is very creamy & it may crease.

Fire Alarm is the same color as Mac Hue lipstick.
Top - Bottom Mac Myth, Fire Alarm, Hue
I was so excited for the Fire Alarm because I needed a new Hue. I love the colors of both. I have to try the shadow stick to see if it will crease. I hope not because They had other pretty colors. I wanted to try the baked shadows, but they only had a few left, & not in my colors. I read great reviews on the mascara too. They had them in every color.

Have you found the Hard Candy at Walmart yet? What have you tried?
What is the best dupe you have found?

MAC HAUL - ONTARIO MILLS CCO

Last weekend I was at the CCO in Ontario Mills, & I was shocked. They had all the new collections there. So if you get a chance, it is a must visit.

I finally got my hands on the Magnetic Fields eye shadow. It is so pretty, & I was sad I missed out on it. They also had tons of Hello Kitty. I got the lippi in Brew. I was thinking about this when the collection came out, so I guess I'm glad I waited. The last thing is a pigment in Gold Mode.

(L)Gold Mode pigment (R) Magnetic Fields I thought is was more brown. but it looks gray/purple.
I have to say, I am not a huge pigment fan. It's really messy. You get tons of product though.
I haven't been excited about the Mac launches, but after seeing all the collections at the CCO, maybe I'll take another look if they there. I think it's easier to spend 30% less on something that you aren't too excited about.

What do you think of pigments? How do you put them on? Which is your favorite?

MY NEW FAVORITE BLUSH + MAC DUPE

My favorite new blush is Sally Hansen inspired by Carmindy in Dusk brunette. I picked it up at CVS for $9 because it reminded me of my favorite all time blush in X-Rocks by Mac. It's so pretty & pigmented. It stays on all day!

This is Dusk Brunette next to Flirt & Tease & X-Rocks at the end. They are all similar, but the Sally Hansen is more color & less sparkles & glitter.
These are the 3 together. The Dusk Brunette is the same color as the MAC Flirt & Tease & sisters with the X-Rocks. Which makes very happy because it's 1/2 the price & X-Rocks is limited edition.
I going to have to try some more of these blushes. The staying power & pigmentation have me sold, plus it's usually BOGO at Ulta.
What other products are worth trying from this line? Any blush recommendations?

MAC TRIP KIT- FROM LONDON WITH LOVE

So my hubby, or Suga Daddy as I call him, just got back from London, & he bought me this Mac gift. It's called Mac Trip, & it's from the duty free at Heathrow. It came with 2 fluid lines, 209se, & a zip case.

This is the box, so pretty.
The fluid lines are in Dipdown(L) & Macroviolet(R).
I love the brown because I don't own a brown fluidline, but the Macroviolet is my fave. Besides a liner, I think I'll use this as a shadow. It's the perfect purple.
The case is a patent leather white w/black stripes. This is like the red one from the Holiday collection. I use my red one & put my camera in. The red is easy to find. There's a little pocket in there also. I usually have my debit card & licence there for quick access. Now I'll use this one, & it's easy to clean too.
This was so sweet of him. he picked it out because he said it was only offered at duty free, & he knew I wouldn't have it. It may simple to us, but for some guys that's a process to figure out what we don't have. Love you Baby!!

For those who live in London, he said how wonderful it is, and the food & beer were amazing. I am jealous, but I won't tell him.

Have you heard of these? Are there more like this out there?
What's your fave surprise present?

1. Mac Painterly up to the brow, it's also my brow highlight color(also love Soft Ochre for double duty)

2.Mac Glamour Check on the lid (you can also use: Mac Antiqued, Revlon Sable, Darkest brown 88 palette)

3. Mac Mythology in the crease & also used it to blend out the brown

4. Liquid liner

5. MUFE Smokey Lash Mascara

That's it 5 products in 5 minutes. You can really use any color on the lid & Mythology in the crease. Mythology really softens the edges of lighter & darker colors. Pretty & effortless.

What's your timie saving trick?

WHAT WAS THE FIRST MAC PRODUCT YOU BOUGHT?

I always park by Macy's when I'm at the mall, and passed Mac so many times. I was a novice at makeup application, it made me afraid to even look over the Mac products. I started watching YT videos & it was a lot of Mac talk.

I got the courage to go in & look around. I was at a loss. I wanted everything, but didn't know what to get. After 20 minutes a beautiful MUA came by & asked if I needed help. I was going to say "No", but then I looked at her lips & fell in love.

"What are you wearing on your lips?"
She said, " Blankety!"

I bought & repurchased again & again, I love it!
This was my first Mac purchase & this is where our Love Affair began!!!

What's your first Mac story & first Mac product?
