COLLECTIVE MAC HAUL

When the Mac Venomous Villains collection came out I was in Michigan, and by the time I got to the store, everything was sold out.  So I thought I would skip this collection.  Then when I got back home, I found my mac counter had a few items left.

De-Vil eyeshadow, Bite of an Apple Blush, & Briar Rose Beauty Powder

I really like the De-Vil eyeshadow, especially for a fall/winter look.  I did not have anything as bright as the Bite Of An Apple Blush,  I was excited they finally gave us a beauty powder that we could actually see the color of.

L - R De-Vil, Bite Of An Apple, Briar Rose
I have been using the De-vil in the crease with browns and purples.  The Bite Of An Apple I find to be a little dry feeling, but the color is really pretty. I love the sheen of the Briar Rose on the cheeks.

My CCO's have had nothing to brag about.  I went a couple of times and came out with these two.  Push the Edge pigment and Blossoming cream blush.  This is my first Mac cream blush and I love it.  I think I may prefer cream over powder blush because of the finish.  I am not of fan of pigments, but I just love purples, and this is a rich royal purple color I could not leave behind.

Top- Blossoming
Bottom- Push the Edge

I haven't been to get any of the Holiday collection.  I love palettes, but these Holiday palettes are nothing I want to jump into.  I do like the plaid though and the little bags, but not a fan of the Mac travel brushes.

Are you a fan of pigments?  How do you apply them?  Have you gotten anything from the Mac Holiday Collection?

SENNA COSMETICS - REVIEW

I was so excited to get some products from the new Senna Cosmetics Fall/Winter collection.  It is called Virtual Vintage and it is really beautiful.  You have to look at the gorgeous photograph of their model and products.

I reviewed their products a couple months ago, and I really love them.  They feel amazing on the skin, face, and lips.  The colors in this collection are perfect for the fall, winter, and holidays.

 Top- Valentina (cream lipstick)
Bottom- Garnet (shear lipstick)

The Valentina is the most perfect red lip.  It is the old Hollywood, Marilyn Monroe red.  Garnet has these specks of gold that give so much dimension to the lip.  They feel so good and hydrating on.

Lush Lip Lacquer
Dusty Rose  Lip Liner

The Senna Lip Lacquers are so rich and pigmented.  The staying power is amazing.  It just stays on the lip.  The gold flecks just brighten the lip without it looking or feeling glittery.  Its got jojoba and Vitamin E that leaves your lips so soft.

The lip liner glides on without feathering and I really like this color.  It is a good neutral shade that goes with so many lipsticks.

Swatches L- R
Garnet - Valentina - Lush -Dusty Rose

This is one of my favorites.  It is the mineral mix Buff and Brighten.  It leaves your skin looking dewy and silky.  It is not glittery, but it gives a sheen.  If you wear mineral makeup, you could mix some in, but I use as a finishing powder after my foundation.  I use matte foundations because of my oily skin, it this just brightens up my face.

The container has two parts.  The bottom is the finishing powder and the top is a highlighter.  It a white crystal soft powder that blends into the skin.  It does not look like you have glitter sitting on your cheeks like a lot of highlighters.

Eye Color

 Left- Fixation   Right- Blend

Left - Blend  Right- Fixation
Their eye shadows are really pigmented, that is one swipe.  I have replaced my Mac Brule with Blend eye color.  I put blend all over the eye, and it just makes any eyeshadow bend out nicely.  They have so many color and finishes.  Take a look at the varieties and colors here.

 Sugar Lip Scrub
With all the weather changes, I have needed this scrub.  My lips have been peeling because I have been using a lot of matte lipsticks.  I just put a little on my lips at night and wipe it off.  It gets the dead skin off and makes my lips smooth.

Take a look at the Senna Cosmetics website.  See if there are some things you would like to try.  I want to get more of the lipsticks and lip lacquers.  They make my lips feel fuller and softer.  I also want to try some foundation because I love the Mineral Mix.

These poducts were provided to me.  I am not being paid.  These are my own opinions.

Have you tried anything from Senna?

SENNA COSMETICS - REVIEW

At IMATS this year, seen here, I bought a beautiful palette from Senna Cosmetics.  I loved the feel, color, and pigmentation of it.  You have shadows, blush, highlight, bronzer, and powder in one.  I sent it to my sister-in-law because I knew she would love it.  More importantly, she's a  freelance MUA and works in the movie industry, and this has so many products in one case.  I was right because she uses all the time and loves it too.  So, when I was contacted by Senna Cosmetics to try some products, I was super excited.  I know how great the palette is, and was excited to try more products.
I was not at all disappointed.  These products are just as wonderful.

They carry a full line of cosmetics and brushes.  I found foundation, mineral makeup, shadows, brow kits, and palettes. I like the full range of colors in foundation and powder,  from light to dark skin tones. The prices range from $15-$95.  They also do not test on animals.

Look on Senna Cosmetics site for all their products and descriptions of their products.

MYTH e/s
That is one swipe.  My true test of color payoff.  It's long lasting, but there is some glitter fall out.  I want to try their matte shadows next.

TOP- ALABASTER Lip Lacquer
This is very sticky and thick, but does not move, even when you eat.
BOTTOM GLINT Lipstick
Says its a sheer tone, but I think it has a lot of color.  What I like about this is the SPF and i is moisturizing too. It sinks into the lips.

TOP - Glint topped with Alabaster
MIDDLE-Alabaster Lip Lacquer
BOTTOM- Glint(Tyra Banks named this a best pick on her show)

JOY Blush
This is my favorite product I tried.  It is like a blush and highlight in one.  For me, it is what Mac Stereo Rose would look like in a blush.

 Myth

TOP Mac Stereo Rose
BOTTOM- Senna Myth blush

Dual Ended Brush
Super soft, but this gives a sheer color wash.

I want to get a palette for myself so I'll have more products to try and it will be great for travel too.

Have you tried senna Cosmetics?  Which products would you like to try?

Disclaimer: These products were sent to me and it is my honest review.  I am not getting compensated for my review.

E.L.F. BEAUTY BOOK- BRIGHT EYES / DUPE UD ALICE OF WONDERLAND PALETTE

I Love these e.l.f. beauty books. All these beautiful colors and shadows for $5.   I bought one during Christmas at Target and I use it almost everyday.  That and my Mac palette are all the colors I need.  This is the Bright Eyes edition.  They have a smokey one also.  I picked this one.  Smokey eyes had a lot of the same colors as my first Encyclopedia Eyes Book, there is a review here if you want to see the colors.

These are limited edition, so if your interested, go and get one soon.  The shadows are pigmented and smooth.  They're glimmery, but not sparkly.  The palette itself is light weight and perfect for travel.

THE BEST PART

These colors are exact dupes for the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette, that was sold out and limited edition also.  The e.l.f. eye shadows are more powdery, but still just as pigmented

Can you tell which are Urban Decay and which is the e.l.f.?

The top row is the e.l.f. and the bottom is the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette.  Look how close they are in color.  Exciting!!

Now I'm in the search of the other palettes.

Have you tried the new palettes?  What is your favorite low end eye product?

PRODUCT RAVE : REVLON MATTE LIPSTICK-Mauve It Over

I talked about how much I love the Illuminasqua lipstick in Test, but not really the price, $20.  I went on a hunt for a cheaper version and found another matte I love.  Revlon matte lipstick in Mauve It Over.  I also picked up a N.Y.C. lipstick in Blossom.

The N.Y.C. Lipstick is pretty too, and $1.  It's glossy, which isn't a favorite, but the color reminded me of Mac Radicio Lipstick.  I liked it, but thought it was too shear for me, but for $1, I'll take it!

I really like the Revlon mattes.  This one in Mauve It Over is really pretty.  It doesn't make your lips dry or look dry either.

Top - Bottom  N.Y.C. Blossom, Revlon Matte Mauve it Over, Illumiasqua Test

I have been trying to stay away from the nudes.  I want something new and fresh, so I'm going for deeper colors.  I really love the Mattes too, great staying power.

What is your favorite lipstick shade and formula?  What's the perfect pink/mauve?

E.L.F GET THE LOOK EYES +swatches

I found this E.L.F. get the look eyes kit at Ross for $6. I know they have Ross on both west/east coast. I have been loving the E.L.F. eye shadows. This is the purple look.

This is what you get:

These are the eye shadows, but they have no names, sorry.
Very pigmented
The top is the eye liner in purple & the bottom is the Mac Purple Grease Paint Stick. The Mac has awesome staying power, but this is an awesome color dupe.
I have a couple of orders coming from E.L.F. & a couple of clothes hauls in the near future.

So what is your best E.L.F. product? Best makeup dupe? I love heap dupes!

NYX LIP GLOSS

I picked up these 2 lip glosses at one of my neighborhood stores. It's a mom/pop kind of place, but they carry NYX. They're $3 & they actually had testers, how exciting.

L-R Smokey Look & French Kiss
I love a product that's cheap & pigmented.

L-R French Kiss & Smokey Look

These glosses are thick, so when you put them on they give you the pouty look. Smokey Look looks like a better version of Mac Love Nectar. I'm not a huge gloss girl, but I feel it's OK for me to get them for the price. Addiction ladies & gents is hard.

I've started Xmas shopping, so expect some hauls coming up.

What other NYX gloss do you recommend? Or any cheap lipstick or gloss?

NYX PEARL MANIA HAUL+swatches & Mac dupes

Cherryculture.com had these NYX pearl mania for $1.99(still on sale) & I wanted to try them. They are soft & very pigmented. I think I can just wear these alone on the eye w/some liner & it would look great. NYX products are really nice & affordable.

L-R Purple, Black,Nude, Walnut

L-R Walnut,Nude,Purple & Black
The colors all look like they can be Mac dupes. L-R Mac Dupes for Tempting, Grand Entrance, Lotusland, Knight.

I really can't wait to try these. They don't have chunky glitter & are finely milled. The one thing I hate is how messy they are. They just go everywhere, so I may transfer them.

What is your favorite NYX product? What other colors do you suggest or are great dupes?

HARD CANDY @ WALMART (Mac Dupe Alert & swatches)

I've been watching a lot of drugstore hauls & fave on YT, & found out they are selling Hard Candy at Walmart. They are $6-10 $ have the cutest (or tackiest) packaging. I think I was slow on this because a lot of things were sold out-gone!

I bought a lipstick in Fire Alarm & Shadow Stick in whimsy. I wanted to try more, but I thought i would start w/these 2.
Top- Whimsy is a shadow stick or base. I am going to also use it as a cream blush-Pretty!

Bottom- Fire Alarm lippi- it's like a lipstick & gloss in one- no need for a gloss
I wanted too show how whimsey looks as base. It actually brings out the sparkle in the Mac shadows.

L-R Whimsey, Nocturnal, Sketch, Da Bling

The colors look so vibrant. I think I will still use a paint pot first because the whimsey is very creamy & it may crease.

Fire Alarm is the same color as Mac Hue lipstick.
Top - Bottom Mac Myth, Fire Alarm, Hue
I was so excited for the Fire Alarm because I needed a new Hue. I love the colors of both. I have to try the shadow stick to see if it will crease. I hope not because They had other pretty colors. I wanted to try the baked shadows, but they only had a few left, & not in my colors. I read great reviews on the mascara too. They had them in every color.

Have you found the Hard Candy at Walmart yet? What have you tried?
What is the best dupe you have found?

MAC HAUL - ONTARIO MILLS CCO

Last weekend I was at the CCO in Ontario Mills, & I was shocked. They had all the new collections there. So if you get a chance, it is a must visit.

I finally got my hands on the Magnetic Fields eye shadow. It is so pretty, & I was sad I missed out on it. They also had tons of Hello Kitty. I got the lippi in Brew. I was thinking about this when the collection came out, so I guess I'm glad I waited. The last thing is a pigment in Gold Mode.

(L)Gold Mode pigment (R) Magnetic Fields I thought is was more brown. but it looks gray/purple.
I have to say, I am not a huge pigment fan. It's really messy. You get tons of product though.
I haven't been excited about the Mac launches, but after seeing all the collections at the CCO, maybe I'll take another look if they there. I think it's easier to spend 30% less on something that you aren't too excited about.

What do you think of pigments? How do you put them on? Which is your favorite?

MAYBELLINE SENSATIONAL - NEARLY THERE 205

Happy Monday everyone! I had a busy weekend & I am hoping for a good week(positive thoughts).

I bought another one of the Color Sensational lipsticks in Nearly There #205. I really like my first one & a bogo was going on. I bought another Maybelline 24 hr. foundation. I will review it, but I'm trying to use different ways of application to see what's best, but I like it.

This is the lightest color in the nudes & it's perfect for me. I don't have to use a liner. I put it on like Chapstick. The lipsticks are moisturizing, not drying. The smell on the pink one is better, but this isn't so bad. So before you buy smell the lipstick.

It's shiny & glittery, but doesn't feel like a gloss.

Here it is on my lips, no liner. It looks almost like Nars Orgasm blush.

Have you tried the new Color Sensational? What do you think of there staying power?

How was your weekend? Any makeup hauls?

MAYBELLINE SUPER STAY 24HR.& COLOR SENSATIONAL HAUL

I have been reading some great reviews on the @4 hr. foundation and new lippies, so I went out to give them a try.

Foundation: Nude
Colorsensational: 005 Pink Sand

I have used the foundation the last couple of days & it really stays put. Its rich & creamy & glides on. It feels more creamy than the Colorstay with just as much coverage. I'll have to wear it longer & let you know how I really feel.

This is the swatch of the Pink Sand lipstick. The colors are really pigmented, smell good, & stick to the lips. i think these are really nice.
Have you tried the 24hr. foundation yet? What are your thoughts?

What is your fave drugstore brand makeup?

SHADY LADY the BALM- REVIEW+swatches

COST: $38

STORE: Sephora

PROS:
Very pigmented
Blendable
9 colors for around $4/shadow
Great for travel
All range of colors for every look

CONS:
Very soft shadows can easily be chipped

I think this may be my most pictured palette & I still haven't reviewed it! I have taken this with me on every trip, & honestly this may be the only colors you'll need to take if traveling. I always take way too many things. Love the packaging, pretty & small.
Look at how much I've used them, they're all dented. The darkest brown, green, & blue can be used as eyeliners also. You can achieve any look with this. I have been using the 2 browns for a bronze look & the light purple is a favorite for night. All the colors are really wearable.
These swatches are swiped only 1x. The shadows are bigger than Mac & you only need a little to go a long way! This palette will last. The shadows are so pigmented you can use any brush to apply them.
I guess you can tell by my gushing I love this product. If you're not sure just stop by Sephora for a swipe. I think you'll fall in love too.
Do you have this palette? What other products are good by the Balm? What's another great multi colored palette to have?
