MAKEUP-WHAT I PACKED FOR MY TRIP

So I used to over-pack clothes & shoes whenever I would travel.  Now I pack too much makeup. I need a small section of my suitcase just for all my makeup stuff.  Then I'm paranoid if something breaks.  Nothing broke this time, except my curling iron barrel bent. I'm afraid to turn it on to see if it works.

This is what I took:
This is what I used:
Honestly I could have just taken my 88 palette. I took too many brushes too.  The trio is from Stila, from my beautycrunch haul.  It is really good, I'll have to review it.

What is the one thing you over-pack?  Oh, any suggestions on the curling iron, turn  it on or toss it?

Very nice! I usually do not take my big pallets when I travel...just the quads, but I wish I could bring my most favorite pallet ever - Costal Scents Neutral P. Love it!! However, I still overpack on clothes and shoes...terrible!!

I way over pack lip products and shoes. I'm pretty good with eyeshadows; last time I traveled I only brought my Urban Decay deluxe shadow box and a highlight color :).

likewise. i pack so much makeup thinking that i'll be using all of it, but in the end i only use a good half of what i really brought. when it's a good road trip i dont care if i bring my huge traincase, lol. i just feel incomplete if i don't have everything with me.

i wish there was a way to reply directly to people's comments. Anyway, we might get a hotel coz now were planning to go NY, NJ then Philly. But yeah im pretty excited and ive been saving so i can go shopping galore. I hope none of your makeup break coz I know how that feels and it sucks!

actually, I overpack everything. the most likely scenario when i travel is that i get too lazy to put on makeup, haha.

That drink...I don't remember LOL. It's from this bar in Uptown that's known for strong "fishbowl drinks" for $5. Needless to say, I was gone after that drink. I didn't make it to midnight countdown.

This is 3 weeks straight that I'm 1cm dilated w/ closed cervix. So I beg the doctor to do something to help speed it up, and he scrape my cervix. I'm bleeding, which is normal, but feel normal overall.

When did Sonia Kashuk come out with that brush roll? I love Sonia Kashuk brushes and products. Her LE 3 piece gold brush set is a staple in my daily routine.

Is that a physican formula mascara? Also what do you think of the CS neutral palette? I've seen gurus doing very pretty looks with the neutral palette.

Hi GiGi. The Sonia Kashuk gold brush set is like this one:http://fabulouslythrifty.blogspot.com/2009/02/sonia-kashuk-gold-glamour-brush-set.html

Except mine was just 3 brushes: blending brush/224 dupe, blush brush, and angled brush

I can't buy anything with the 15% off. Are you? I need to be good and save my money. My daughter is on her way, and I'm a bearing the cost of everything on my own (single mom). I'm also taking 3 months off for maternity leave, so I need to be discipline. So no shopping sprees for awhile...

P.S. I noticed the ottoman in the pic!! It's the darling one I've been drooling over that you posted way back ;)

It's adorable...I'm glad you found away to piece it into your bedroom :)
