SONIA KASHUCK SYNTHETIC FLAT TOP BRUSH/review

Price: $14.99
Store: Target

I have been trying to use this brush for my foundation, but I honestly don't like it.  First, I used it with my Colorstay foundation, which is thick, but all the brush did was smear it on.  I didn't see that "flawless" face look.  Then I tried it with the Covergirl Clean foundation, which is light and not as runny, same thing.  My face looked streaky and I had bristles on my face.  Plus, it took forever to put on my foundation because the top is so small.

I tried it for powder, bronzer, blush, but the bristles are firmly packed and it goes on way too dark or thick.  I have a set of her travel brushes, and I'm not a fan of those either.

Maybe I'm using it wrong, but I use a flat top from Coastal Scents with no problem.  The reviews on makeup alley are really good.  I'm confused?

What do you think of Sonia Kashuk products and brushes?

i bought a set from her years ago and i still have it. idk about the face brushes or anything but i've gone back to using my revlon foundation brush to put my colorstay on. it works better than my stippling brushes.

i use this brush to apply mineral foundation, gives me heavier coverage when i need it and it really buffs it in!

I have that brush! I use it as a contour, just on the highest point under my cheek bone and pull downwards toward my chin, it's not too bad for contour, but I agree..it's not great for much ~ lol

@DSK it would be good for contour.

I agree with you. I find this brush hard to work with but I find best use for this brush is to put blush right on the apples of my cheecks. It gives that dolly face look. You have to use it with a light hand though.

I have some of her eye brushes but you know, they are kind of scratchy on the eye. Have you tried using the stippling motion with this brush? Maybe that'll help?

you should try the Sonia Kashuck version of the MAC 187. I prefer the 187 but if you don't want to shell out the money for it, the Sonia Kashuck Highlighter brush is a good dupe and works well with liquid foundation.
